Welcome to the home page of Sea Scout Ship 1009 located in Bowie, Maryland. Ship 1009 is chartered by the Boy Scouts of America and is sponsored by the Christian Community Presbyterian Church of Bowie and Discovery Village of Shady Side, Maryland.

Sea Scouting is a co-educational program offered to young adults between the ages of 14 and 21. It's a chance to learn and have fun at the same time. Sea Scouting is organized to promote better citizenship and to improve members' boating skills.  To attain this, we provide instruction and practice in water safety, boating skills, outdoor, social, and service experiences, plus the knowledge of our maritime heritage.

Meetings are held every Monday at 7:00 PM in the main church/fellowship hall at CCPC.
Our meeting room is on the left side of the church, enter through the door next to small shed, and then first room on left.
